I don’t know what Lake Como really looks like but from my understanding, it’s pretty much the Elfin land of my LOTR dreams. Lake Atitlan seems like the Central American Lake Como… Without all the yachts and champagne. The lake is a mesmerizing turquoise color and surrounding volcanoes are often backlit by lightening. We spent four beautiful days strolling through the streets of San Marcos, snacking and snapping photos every once and a while. It’s a place that runs on a slower pace, filled with rainbow fabrics and giant spiders. A lush jungle heaven.
